Jules at Sea & Solder offers an eight-week course in the art of silversmithing, where participants can attend eight three-hour workshops to learn the skills of sizing, shaping, forming, joining, and finishing their own jewellery pieces. 8 sessions suitable for all skill levels, from novices to experienced individuals. Whether you are looking to learn the fundamentals of working with silver or enhance your existing skills, these courses are tailored to meet your needs. Join us on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm at our Corfe Mullen workshop, where we limit class sizes to ensure personalized attention. With a maximum of 4 students per session, you'll have the opportunity to hone your skills and create beautiful pieces. Immerse yourself in the art of jewelry making with Sea & Solder. The course covers a range of skills including texturing metal, bezel and claw setting seaglass and cabochons, reticulation, stamping, doming, tube setting faceted stones as well as finishing techniques. The price of the course includes tuition for the term, access to the workshop, and tools. Participants have the option to purchase silver, seaglass, and precious stones during the course or bring their own pieces.
