Three hour long workshop sessions spread over a ten week term. These 10 sessions are designed for beginners as well as those with previous experience. The courses are perfect to learn the basics to begin working with silver or to build on previous experience. Workshops run from 10am - 1pm on both Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Please email me with your preferred day once you have completed the booking. We take no more than 4 students on these courses. There are currently three spaces available on our Tuesday course starting in January and the Thursday course is now fully booked. This is a fluid course where over the ten weeks you can experiment with a variety of techniques, Jules will teach you how to size, shape, texture, form, join and finished metal pieces, including how to use the tools and equipment available to you in the workshop. The ten week course gives you the freedom to work at your own pace on each piece of jewellery. Other skills you can learn during your time on this course include casting techniques, drilling & texturing metal, including reticulation, stamping, doming, bezel and claw settings for seaglass and cabochons, tube setting faceted stones, and finishing techniques. The price of the course includes tuition for the term as well as use of the workshop and tools. Silver, seaglass and precious stones can be purchased throughout the course or you can bring your own pieces along too.
