Sea & Solder offers a one day taster course where you can create your very own bezel set silver seaglass drop earrings with a silver boarder. This course is ideal for those who have already attended a ring or pendant workshop or have previous experience in silversmithing. Improve your silver smithing skills in sawing, filing, soldering, and finishing in a fun and engaging workshop setting. The perfect course for those looking to enhance existing skills, come join us to unleash your creativity and make unique pieces inspired by the beauty of the ocean. Check out our photos for examples and get ready for a memorable experience at Sea & Solder! Hands-on jewellery making courses in Corfe Mullen, Dorset. Starting at 10am and finishing by 4.30pm, with a lunch break included. With small classes of up to 4 students, you'll receive personalised attention. Bring your own seaglass (Jules will assess its suitability) or select from Sea & Solders collection. Enjoy a fun and relaxed day in our garden workshop, where you'll be greeted with a hot drink upon arrival. Our workshop also features an corner with unlimited tea and coffee to keep you energised throughout the creative process. The course price includes tuition for the day, two handpicked piece of sea glass, enough silver for your seaglass earrings, and full access to our workshop and suitable tools. Seaglass can be no more that roughly 2cm long and 1.5cm wide for these earrings (see photos for examples). If you wish to send your seaglass to Jules ahead of the course to be carved into matching shapes, please contact her by email, there is a £20 charge for this service. With a focus on attention to detail, our service ensures that your earring are created within specific size limits and designs, guaranteeing a well finished piece that reflects your individuality. And because its seaglass your earrings don't and probably wont match! We also have a treasure box of cabochons, semi-precious flat-backed stones, available for purchase on the day to use as an alternative to seaglass. Our courses use 100% recycled silver and provide refreshments and snacks for a comfortable experience. We provide aprons for your convenience, just remember to wear closed toe shoes and tie back long hair. If you wear glasses, please remember to bring them with you.
